Toga achieves gold standard in Deloitte awards
[ September 23, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Dublin forwarding and logistics firms Toga Group – which comprises Toga Freight Services and Toga Customs Services – has been named as one the country’s Best Managed Companies in the Deloitte business awards programme.
The company, which has demonstrated superior business performance for the fifth year in a row, this year gained the highest gold standard, which was recognised at an awards ceremony at the Royal Dublin Society on 19 September.
This year, Deloitte recognised 129 indigenous companies at the awards, with a combined turnover of more than €15 billion and employingo over 45,000 people across sectors ranging from technology and healthcare to construction. The judges examine a wide range of areas, such as the business’ environmental, social and governance standards, strategic planning and talent strategy.
Toga Group chief executive, Robert Dickinson, said: “It’s thrilling to be recognized as a Best Managed Company for the fifth consecutive year and to continue to perform well as a business and hit our strategy targets year after year. Toga Group was founded in Dublin in 1978. Current directors are Robert Dickinson, Muriel Corish and Darragh Toner, who completed a management buy out in 2023. It operates a freight forwarding business at its headquarters in Dublin 12 and a customs clearance business in Swords, North Dublin. The company also has depots in London and Birmingham and a partner network across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
