Sea trials for Brittany hybrid ship

Brittany Ferries’ LNG-electric hybrid vessel Saint-Malo is carrying out sea trials in the Far East, ahead of her transit to Europe in November. From February next year she will link Portsmouth with her namesake port, operating on liquefied natural gas (LNG) at sea and on electric power when manoeuvring and alongside in port, with shore-side power. Preparatory work is underway in the port, ready for the arrival of shore-power ready ships on two berths.
