Top ranking for Harbour
[ October 24, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Harbour International Freight has gained ‘AA’ accreditation for ambient storage, distribution and cross-docking from global supply chain standards arbiter BRGCS.
Founded in Ireland more than fifty years ago and a member of the Pall-Ex network, Harbour International Freight has significantly expanded its presence in the UK in recent years, opening a new national headquarters in Trafford Park, Manchester and purpose-built group offices in Dublin in 2022.
External auditors carried out a rigorous 10-hour inspection of the Trafford Park site in August of this year, with grading confirmation following in September. The certification will be re-assessed annually.
Steve Swinburn, managing director at Harbour International Freight, said the rating would help Harbour forge new relationships with FMCG and food manufacturing businesses and enable it to work with larger, blue-chip multinationals which require their carriers to have such certification.
