Shipper’s group Xstaff becomes shiftX
[ November 19, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Xstaff is to be renamed shiftX, delegates to the shippers’ group were told at its seventh BCO Conference in Hamburg on 14 November. Managing partners and organizers Antonios Rigalos and Stephan Schiller said the new name would position the organization as a ‘creator of synergy, competitive conditions and reliable capacities for BCO (beneficial cargo owners) in an increasingly complex transport market.
Delegates to the conference called for better data for better decisions, along with accurate planning, and better forecasting a top a priorities. Access to real-time data and cost transparency were voted for by significantly fewer participants.
Dave van Diggele from the Digital Container Shipping Association (DSCA), based in Amsterdam, pointed out that 74% of the data attributes generated in container shipping are already standardized, or 92% of the total data flow.
Hamburg-based IT service provider Logward also unveiled a new cooperation with shiftX, based on a Cloud platform which aims to improve tendering, transport and allocation management.
