Kuehne+Nagel to buy US drayage firm IMC

Kuehne+Nagel is to acquire a 51% stake in US marine drayage company IMC Logistics, for an undisclosed sum. IMC specializes in transportation solutions to or from seaports or rail hubs, customer facilities and inland. Collierville, Tennessee –headquartered IMC’s national network includes 49 locations and it handles 2 million TEU a year in intermodal drayage and rail operations.  Kuehne+Nagel said the move would enhance its access to North America and ensure flexible transportation solutions in times of increasing supply chain disruptions. The IMC brand will be retained.
