BIFA to offer media people free freight course

[ December 4, 2024   //   ]

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) is launching a free one-day course for journalists and other staff working with the media who are newcomers to the freight and logistics sector.
‘Freight & Customs Fundamentals for Media Executives’ aims to bridge the knowledge gap and provide incoming staff with an understanding of the complexities of international trade, freight management and customs procedures. It is being launched in association with the Seahorse Freight Association.
With the rise of supply chain disruptions, sustainability concerns, and technological advancements, accurate and informed reporting has never been more critical, says BIFA.
The course will cover freight forwarding and customs procedures and regulations, led by BIFA’s experienced industry trainers

The course is free for qualifying journalists and public relations agencies with relevant accounts, with no prior experience in freight or logistics required. Initially, it will be delivered at BIFA’s headquarters in Feltham.
