Unsworth opens Heathrow air hub

Unsworth has opened a dedicated logistics hub at London Heathrow Airport, relocating its air freight team from its headquarters in East London. The branch is managed by Mick Patterson, who joined Unsworth in August from World Transport Agency. He is supported by Symone Burt leading the export team and Mark Sidwell spearheading import operations. Managing director Thomas Kuehn, said: “Being on-site at Heathrow places Unsworth’s airfreight team in direct contact with airlines, freight handlers, and customs officials, ensuring seamless communication and streamlined cargo movement. Operating from the heart of air freight operations enables us to tackle logistical challenges in real-time, keeping shipments on schedule and improving overall client satisfaction.”
With the expanded airfreight team and a presence at one of the world’s key logistics hubs, Unsworth is well-equipped to continue its mission of simplifying global trade and delivering excellence in freight forwarding.
