Woodland man takes on BIFA legal & insurance role
[ January 29, 2013 // Chris ]John Stubbings, group director and company secretary at the Essex-based Woodland Group, has been appointed chairman of the British International Freight Association’s Legal and Insurance Policy Group. Having served as a member of the legal group for the past two years, Stubbings has also been active at London East regional members meetings.
He said: “It’s quite daunting to follow in the footsteps of past chairmen Ron Willis and Christine D’Arcy but I am looking forward to joining my fellow Woodland colleagues in playing a more active role in our industry trade association.”
In becoming a group chairman, Stubbings also takes a place on the BIFA Council, the body responsible for the governance of the association.
Woodland employees Keith Smaggasgale and Brian Broom are also involved with the association – Smaggasgale on the Air Forwarding Policy Group, and Broom on the Surface Policy Group.
