Deben buys out box haulier

Felixstowe-based container haulier Deben Transport has bought-out struggling fellow operator, Elite Transport Services, or an undisclosed sum, according to press reports. The purchase of Elite, which had gone into administration earlier in April,. will give Deben a presence in Leeds and a bigger operation in Manchester, while boosting its existing 150-plus-truck fleet by a further 70 units and expanding its existing 230-strong workforce by a further 100 people.
