Roadways drivers strive for perfection
[ November 5, 2013 // Chris ]Box haulier Roadways Container Logistics has has developed a driver training programme in collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Motorists. The scheme is part of the company’s commitment to the statutory Certificate of Profession Competence scheme under which all truck drivers must undergo a set amount of training every year. Since the initiative was launched in the summer, 13 drivers have passed the IAM’s Advanced Driving Test and a further 12 are due to take the test by the end of the year.Two have achieved a perfect score and are now members of the Institute of Advanced Motorists F1RST Register, which has just over 1,000 members.
