OBE for Southampton boss
[ January 2, 2014 // Chris ]Former Southampton port director Doug Morrison has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list, in recognition of a lifetime devoted to working in the UK’s ports. He was port director at Southampton until his retiredment in December 2013 overseeing, among other things, a £100 million investment in the container terminal. In a 45-year career with ABP, he also worked at Hull, Goole and Ayr, where he began his career in 1968.
