A heavyweight in Rosyth
[ August 15, 2014 // Chris ]The Port of Rosyth handled its largest ever ship on 14 August when the 80,000dwt heavylift vessel ZPMC Zhen Hua 24 brought in 36 steel deck sections – weighing up to 350 tonnes each – for the new Forth road bridge. The Fife port has been the marine hub for the construction project and has itself received significant investment to strengthen quayside storage areas, install a new security gate and road network and bespoke warehousing for storage and steel preparation.
