A third of the way there – without turning a wheel

Logistics firm Gefco says that the 50 participants who have signed up for its 300-mile bike ride from Coventry to Paris, have already raised more than £17,000 for BBC Children in Need.

The group is hoping to raise £50,000, and out of the funds raised so far, Bristol Port has donated £3,500.

The participants are now training intensively for the start date on 7 September including an 856-mile test ride at Rutland Water, East Midlands.
