A2B to start Rotterdam-Teesport service
[ April 4, 2018 // Chris ]Dutch short sea operator A2B-online has acquired an additional container vessel to introduce a new three days a week service from Rotterdam to Teesport. The service will be operated by a 500teu vessel and is expected to start operations in May.
The A2B service operates from the Broekman Distriport terminal (picture below) which is located in the middle of a chemical cluster of companies in the Botlek area of Rotterdam and will provide a direct link to the chemical industry on Teesside.
A2B already operates two sailings per week from Moerdijk in the south Netherlands to Teesport and Blyth, along with 11 sailings per week from Moerdijk to Immingham and four sailings from Moerdijk to London Thamesport.
