ABP seeks next generation of port managers
[ October 18, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]Associated British Ports (ABP), is inviting applications for its Graduate Training Scheme 2023.
Applications are now open for eight roles at a number of locations and specialisms, including port operations, property, commercial, human resources and consents and environment projects.
Starting in October 2023, ABP’s two-year Graduate Training Scheme is designed to give graduates a 360-degree view of the port operator, providing them with the necessary skills and experience to become a future leader in the maritime industry.
Head of ABP Academy, Kerry Thompson, commented: “This scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to explore and learn more about the maritime as well as many other industries we work with, from construction to agriculture and renewable energy.
“We believe that a diverse team is a stronger team and would like to encourage all Graduates who are interested in pursuing a career at ABP to apply.”
ABP human resources graduate, Chloe Nye, said: “One thing that really attracted me to ABP was their commitment to improving and supporting diversity. Learning that ABP was the first port company in the UK to introduce PPE that was specifically designed for women was really inspiring and demonstrated to me that ABP is an organisation that takes meaningful actions to fulfil their diversity strategy.”
