ABP’s Humber terminal breaks into deepsea auto imports
[ March 3, 2022 // Chris ]Associated British Ports’s Humber International Terminal (HIT) at the port of Immingham has handled its first deep sea automotive vessels. The RCC America discharged 2,570 vehicles on Wednesday 23 February, followed by the Glovis Splendour with 2,700 on Saturday 26 February.
The RCC America was too large for the nearby Grimsby River Terminal, normally used by customer, Kia UK which is seeing a surge in demand and was the country’s biggest selling automotive brand in January, according to sales director, Steve Hicks.
