Abu Dhabi on the right lines
[ September 9, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]Etihad Rail has connected the ICAD terminal in Abu Dhabi with the network’s main line. The new 2.7 million sq ft hub will have a capacity for over 20 million tonnes a year of container and general cargo and will be the largest inland freight railway terminal in the UAE. The company has completed tracklaying and has carried out tests on the new line, which extends from the borders of Saudi Arabia to the port of Fujairah, on the eastern coast, passing through key manufacturing hubs and urban centres.
