Air France KLM to fly Christmas freighters, Lufthansa flies supplies to Yorkshire
[ December 23, 2020 // Chris ]Air France KLM Martinair Cargo will operate additional wide body belly capacity from Schiphol to London Heathrow and back using KLM Airbus A330 planes on 25 and 26 December. The carrier added that it was monitoring the situation closely and would further adapt its network when necessary from its hubs at Paris Charles de Gaulle or Amsterdam Schiphol.
Lufthansa was meanwhile reported by the BBC to be moving 80 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables from Frankfurt to Doncaster Sheffield Airport to beat the closure of the Channel ports. The carrier was also reported as saying that it was investigating a regular flight – either a freighter or a passenger aircraft in cargo mode.
