Air handlers to merge

WFS and Aviapartner are to merge into a single handling company controlled by LBO France, WFS’ majority shareholder. WFS says it is the global leader in cargo handling; Aviapartner’s main area is Continental Europe passenger handling – in cargo it is mainly present in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Olivier Bijaoui, chairman of the management board of WFS, will become president of the new entity and Aviapartner president Laurent Levaux, will be vice-president. The transaction is subject to the prior approval of the competition authorities.
