APMT extends New York lease to 2062
[ March 25, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]AP Moller-Maersk and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are to extend the lease on APM Terminals Elizabeth by 33 years, to December 2062, subject to a vote by Port Authority Board of Commissioners on March 27. It paves the way for major infrastructure investments to enhance capacity. Planned upgrades for Elizabeth include the optimization of the terminal layout, electrification of container handling equipment, and future-proofing container berths. APM Terminals Elizabeth currently handles over 25% of the annual container throughput in the port complex.
