Atlas lifts Stones to Cuba

All-cargo carrier Atlas Air provided the essential lift for The Rolling Stones’ historic concert in Havana, Cuba on 25 March. An Atlas Boeing 747-400 freighter carried 97 tons of staging and equipment from Mexico City to Havana, via Miami, on 19 March. It was also the first commercial charter operation of its kind by a US-based carrier.
