AV Dawson recruits a record-breaker

Middlesbrough-based logistics firm AV Dawson has appointed Charlie Nettle as its head of marketing and business development. He joins the business from the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC), where he was head of marketing for more than six years. He even helped the Chamber break a Guinness World Record, holding the largest business dinner in the region, as part of its 200th anniversary campaign.
Meanwhile, AV Dawson chairman Maurice Dawson, has been awarded an honorary degree from Teesside University. He joins a select group of business heavyweights that have been recognised by the university including Dragons Den’s Duncan Bannatyne, Bulkhaul managing director and Middlesbrough Football Club Chairman Steve Gibson and Barker & Stonehouse chairman Richard Barker.
