BA-Iberia cargo shows signs of life

The cargo business unit of the joint BA-Iberia International Airlines Group, (IAG Cargo, ) reported a 16.3% increase in commercial revenue in the first half of 2011 to €592 million. Cargo volumes, at 3,066 million freight tonne kilometres was up 8.3% versus the same period last year while cargo capacity increased 8.6%. Yields increased by 7.3% although the based of growth slowed in the second quarter of 2011.
