Balfour Beatty wins London Gateway rail contract
[ April 26, 2012 // Chris ]Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering has won a multi-million pound contract to build a new rail terminal capable of handling the longest trains in the UK for DP World’s new London Gateway port development. The engineering firm will develop the first of three rail terminals and double track the branch line to the new deep-sea container port being built on the north bank of the River Thames. It will be able to accommodate trains up to 34 wagons long.
