Biggest ever ship for Tilbury

The Port of Tilbury handled its largest ever vessel in late October when the MV Koutalianos arrived to collect 50,000 tonnes of barley for Saudi Arabia. Weighing in at 93,000 tonnes and 230 metres long, – the size of two football pitches laid end-to-end – she will carry the harvest from over 15,000 acres (6300 hectares) of UK farmland.
