Business as usual for G6 despite NOL takeover
[ December 11, 2015 // Chris ]The G6 container shipping alliance said it expected its operations to continue as normal through 2016, despite the takeover of one of its members – APL/NOL – by CMA CGM, which belongs to the rival Ocean3 grouping.
In a statement it said: “The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. Until there is further development, the G6 Alliance assures that its current service structure will remain stable, and expects to operate as aligned through 2016.”
G6 members are APL (the brand name for NOL’s container services), Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai, Mitsui OSK, NYK and OOCL.
