ByBox promises a French revolution
[ November 28, 2012 // Chris ]Locker delivery is changing the face of distribution and revolutionising the field services market in France, says British-based company, ByBox. The company has transported its UK model of delivery lockers fed by a central distribution centre across the Channel and now operates from a 3,000sq m base in Wissous, near Paris, delivering 20,000 spare parts a month to 150 locations before 8am. It also has similar networks in Ireland and Belgium.
Traditional delivery models have been falling short for years because they are inflexible and do not meet the needs of mobile engineers and reps, it says. This has led to a rapid increase in the demand for the convenience and reliability of locker deliveries.
