CargoBeamer appoints intermodal chief

Intermodal operator CargoBeamer has appointed Tilman Apitzsch as managing director of its Intermodal Operations division, where he will oversee plans to increase long-term commercial and operational excellence. He joins CargoBeamer after some years at the Boston Consulting Group, where he served as principal for transport, aviation, and infrastructure. CargoBeamer operates trailer-carrying rail services to terminals including Calais, using a unique loading system that allows non-craneable semi-trailers to be handled. [+]
