Channel Isles ferry route to be split?

Ferry services to the Channel Islands may be split into separate Guernsey and Jersey routes after a joint tender process by the two islands failed. DFDS has confirmed its interest in a new tender process announced by the Government of Jersey for a Jersey-only ferry service from 25 March 2025, A bid by incumbent operator Condor Ferries, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of French-owned Brittany Ferries, to continue operating the existing service to Jersey and Guernsey from Portsmouth has been rejected by the Jersey government, although Guernsey has accepted Condor/Brittany as its preferred bidder.
