CLdN adds more ships to Ireland/Europe routes
[ May 4, 2021 // Chris ]European short-sea operator CLdN has chartered two additional ro ro vessels to increase sailings on its Zeebrugge/Rotterdam/Dublin routes from eight to ten in each direction per week.
The line said the chartered vessels would prepare the way for the introduction of further new dual-fuelled (LNG) newbuilds arriving in the fourth quarter of the year.
CLdN will introduce the additional sailings provisionally from mid-May; one is currently undergoing repairs and the other is being repositioned from the Med.
It would increase Rotterdam to Dublin sailings to five weekly and that chartering an additional vessel would allow it to deploy both vessels on the Irish routes in a combined wedge schedule, to add frequency and capacity from both Rotterdam and Zeebrugge.
