CLdN launches Liverpool terminal upgrade

[ August 1, 2024   //   ]

CLdN has started a multimillion-pound investment at  its Brocklebank terminal in Liverpool as part of the shortsea line’s plans to increase capacity on its Liverpool-Dublin route.

Upgrades at the terminal will improve the use of space and enhance the flow of cargo movements with a new gate set-up, improved drivers’ facilities and new terminal operating system.

The enhancements to the quayside will also allow the terminal to be used by larger, more environmentally friendly ships.

Chief operating officer of CLdN RoRo, Gary Walker said: “These upgrades are part of the CLdN group strategy of investing in its UK port infrastructure and further reducing the carbon footprint of its operations. CLdN is a leading provider of freight services across the Irish Sea and this investment will further improve our service to customers.”

During the work, CLdN’s operations will be moved temporarily to Gladstone Docks Branch No. 3 for the coming four months.
