FedEx Express says it has surpassed its goal to boost vehicle fuel efficiency by 30% five years early in its its 2016 Global Citizenship Report (GCR) published at the end of March, Its ‘Reduce, Replace, Revolutionize’ strategy had reduced overall mileage by optimising routes, replaced vehicles with more efficient models and added alternative fuel vehicles to the fleet. The Fuel Sense program had also saved more than $1 billion in jet fuel since 2007 and avoided more than 4 million metric tons of carbon emissions.
