CMA rates rise again

 CMA CGM said on 17 August it would implement a further rate restoration programme on all shipments from Asia (including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to North Europe from 1 September, in addition to the program announced earlier in the month. Rates will increase by $225 per teu for both dry and reefer containers. It said the move was necessary to cover the massive investments by the company in the global supply chain.
