Column on the march with Geodis

Freight forwarder Geodis’ Industrial Projects arm is managing out-of-gauge shipments from all over Europe for a major oil and gas project at the Lotos Refinery in Gdansk, Poland. Shipments of oversize columns for Kinetics Technology, part of the Maire Tecnimont Group include a 310-ton column which was transported by barge on the Ems River in Germany to Rotterdam for transhipment onto a coastal vessel to the refinery’s jetty in Gdansk. Further shipments by break-bulk vessels are now in progress, from Northern Italy and Spain.
