Containerships adds St Pete call

Containerships is launching a direct call at Neva Metal in St. Petersburg to complement the existing call at the port’s Moby Dik terminal on Kronstadt Island. The Neva Metal Terminal will be included in the weekly Intra Baltic loop which also calls at Lübeck, Aarhus and Helsinki.
Neva Metal is on the north side of the same peninsula as the First Container Terminal and is served by Baltic customs. A direct railway connection on the terminal will further improve transit time to Russia and Central Asia, says Containerships. The terminal offers hangar style warehousing, enabling covered cross-docking for dry and refrigerated cargoes.
