Covid and Brexit boost Xpeditor
[ April 12, 2021 // Chris ]East and central European specialist forwarder Xpediator says its turnover was up 3.7% in the twelve months ended 31 December 2020, to £221.2m. It said it reflected a generally resilient performance during the Covid-19 impacted months coupled with a strong performance in the last quarter of 2020. Adjusted profit before tax was up 38.5% helped by cost reductions in March 2020, alongside some core markets benefiting from Covid-19 related changes. In its outlook for 2021, the company added that managing transportation post Brexit more complex than anticipated with customers requiring additional support which is net profitable for the group.
