Customs grant deadline looms

BIFA is reminding its members that they only have until 17 January to apply for a share of a £16 million fund for customs-related employee training and IT ahead of Brexit. Companies need to register with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) – which is administering the grants for HMRC. Applications close on 31 January or earlier if funding is fully allocated.

Grants can be used to support a business that is extending and taking on new staff, or to help train an existing employee to start completing customs declarations for the company. Training can be delivered by an external provider, or an in-house trainer.
