Dachser in the green zone for Cologne
[ November 21, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Logistics provider Dachser has set up an emission-free delivery zone in the centre of Cologne, Germany, in which it will use only battery-electric vehicles for non-refrigerated goods.
Two 7.5-tonne FUSO eCanter electric trucks, with space for eleven standard pallets and a 3.5-tonne Renault Master E-Tech with five pallet spaces operate in the zone and recharge at the Dachser branch in Gremberghoven.
Cologne is now one of 16 European cities in which Dachser has implemented its Emission-Free Delivery concept in everyday logistics operations and it plans to expand the concept for non-refrigerated groupage to a further eight cities by the end of 2025.
