Dachser opens IT hub in Porto

German forwarding and logistics company Dachser has opened a corporate IT Hub in Porto. It will fill around 100 IT positions by the end of 2026.

Porto will complement existing IT locations in Germany, France, Spain, Hong Kong, and the US where specialists develop and optimise integrated core systems for transport and warehouse management, ensuring IT security, and general implementation of the logistics provider’s digitalization strategy. Portugal’s second city offers several c advantages, including its international environment and high level of cybersecurity expertise and offers access to excellent IT talent, partly due to its proximity to several universities.

Corporate IT director Ralf Morawietz, says: “It is definitely on its way to becoming one of the most important technology centres in Europe.”
