Dachser opens Rotterdam LCL centre

German forwarder Dachser has centralised most of its export LCL shipments in Europe at a new container freight station in Waddinxveen near Rotterdam. It consolidates general cargo shipments from the Netherlands, Belgium, large parts of France and Germany as well as Switzerland and, in some cases, Austria and Eastern Europe in Waddinxveen and sends them bundled by sea freight via the port of Rotterdam. Dachser says this gives it better control and flexibility and is independent of third parties.
