Dachser starts work on high-tech terminal
[ October 15, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Logistics provider Dachser has broken ground on a new logistics centre in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, due to open in June 2025. It consists of a transit terminal, with 6,500sq m of space and 76 loading gates, and the warehouse, at 6,770sq m and room for 17,000 pallets. The company will create around 90 new jobs in the medium term.
The property is midway between Munich and Nuremberg close to the A9 highway.
The facility includes a green roof and façade as well as the transition to electromobility. The terminal will be equipped with @ILO technology for groupage handling from the outset. This eliminates manual scanning processes in incoming goods, speeding up the process by up to 30% and improves transparency.
