Daily Maersk delivers
[ April 27, 2012 // Chris ]Maersk said on 25 April that its ‘Daily’ service from Asia to Europe had delivered average reliability of 97% in its first six months, and more recently reliability has exceeded 99%. The service had move over 93,500 containers from Asia to Europe. In the Yantian, China to Felixtowe corridor alone it had transported more than 17,000 containers in the first six months.
Daily Maersk project lead, Ole Pradsgaard, said: “We are extremely pleased to see the on-time delivery rate for Maersk improving month by month. We are truly delivering on our promise of absolute reliability.”
The line added that Daily Maersk has also helped reduce the carbon footprint of supply chain by producing approximately 13% lower CO2 emissions per container moved than the industry average on the Asia-North Europe trade.
