DB Schenker moves to new Glasgow site

DB Schenker has opened a new multi-modal site at Hillington, near Glasgow airport. It offers over 17,000sq ft of warehousing and more than 750 pallet positions for storage and pick and pack services, along with full security camera coverage including the external yard for devanning and loading containers.

The site is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliant and the forwarder says that it will achieve ETSF (External Temporary Storage Facility) Type A status shortly.

Regional manager north for ocean freight, Leila Currie said: “The investment provides a real boost for our customers right across the region and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our offering in a variety of vertical markets including retail, industrial, electronics, automotive, aerospace, foodstuffs and perishables as well as high value and Dangerous Goods”.
