Delivered Duty Paid service pays off for Europa customer
[ December 9, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]UK lighting and furnishing company Tyson says that Europa Road’s Europa Flow Delivered Duty Paid service has drastically simplified its operations since adopting it in 2021.
The company says that having experienced delayed shipments and extensive administrative and customs paperwork, plus increased duty payments due to Brexit, Europa Flow has transformed its exports to Europe.
Director, Tyson Bennison said: “We service time-sensitive projects for leading interior designers and decorators so when Brexit came into force, we were left in a really challenging situation.
“Like many smaller-sized businesses, the additional fees, extensive customs paperwork and delayed shipments hit us really hard and resulted in us losing some of our key customers.”
Europa Flow aims to reduce paperwork and eliminate unexpected fees for importers in the EU, putting UK exporters on the same footing as companies based in countries that are still in the European Single Market.
Over 50% of Europa’s groupage exports now using DDP, and the operator can now guarantee pre-Brexit delivery times.
