Deugro takes delivery of ship of the future

Deugro has taken delivery of the Rotra Futura, two years after signing the contract with China’s Zhenjiang Shipyards. The heavylift forwarder says that she and her sister ship, Rotra Futura are designed to accommodate larger, heavier offshore wind turbine components, including a specially designed to reduce loading risk reductions and cut costs. The vessels also carry three Liebherr cranes and a unique gantry system allows stowage of blades in three tiers.
