DFDS readies Rosslare vessels
[ December 18, 2020 // Chris ]DFDS says that its Visby, Kerry, and Optima Seaways freight ferries are ready to start operations on the new Rosslare/Dunkerque freight route from 2 January. Visby and Kerry are chartered ships, including crews, and Optima Seaways ia a DFDS owned vessel currently operating between Sweden and Lithuania. Each has capacity for up to 120 trucks and trailers plus drivers. There will be six weekly departures from each port with a sailing of just under 24 hours. The DFDS office in Rosslare is also ready, run by port operations manager Dwain Rodgers and port assisting manager Donna Lynch.
