DfT announces £8 million Stranraer road upgrade

Transport Secretary Mark Harper has announced £8 million of ‘targetted improvements’ for the A75 between Gretna and the Northern Ireland ro ro port of Stranraer. They include measures to alleviate pinch points, including bypassing the villages of Springholm and Crocketford.

It has also committed previously announced funding for dualling the A1 between Morpeth and Ellingham.
