DHL’s Hanover hub open for business

DHL Freight has opened its new Hanover hub at Airport Business Park in Langenhagen. The 8,700 m² transshipment terminal has over 86 loading bays, handling road freight for both the Europe-wide all-in-one groupage service Euroconnect and the Eurapid premium groupage service is handled. The 290-strong team include experts to assist with customized logistics solutions and transport management for the Euronet full truck load service.

New technologies are being trialled at the new freight centre such as an electric manoeuvring assistant to move swap bodies at the site and automated weight, volume, and shipment data recording devices.
