Don’t be hair-brained…
[ February 28, 2014 // Chris ]Hairdressing is still girls’ career of choice, bemoans Women in Logistics UK, on the eve of National Careers Week (3-7 March). However, there are ten times as many jobs in Logistics, it points out. According to official statistics, there are fewer than 250,000 jobs in hair and beauty and the industry is too small to satisfy the aspirations of 9% of schoolgirls who say they want to follow a career in it. Yet the 2.3 million jobs in logistics are largely being overlooked. Women in Logistics UK is launching a new campaign during National Careers Week, to get the message across.
