DSV has space to grow in Venlo

[ June 12, 2017   //   ]

DSV has acquired an additional 140,000sq m of land adjacent to its facilities in Venlo, Netherlands, which it will develop with 83,000sq m of additional warehousing. It brings the forwarder’s total space at the site to 210,000sq m, not including the DSV Road cross-docking terminal 2km to the south.

DSV says Venlo is strategically located with optimal access to large consumer markets used by well-known consumer brands for regional warehousing and distribution.

The new facility will be highly automated and specifically geared towards handling of small orders that are typical for ecommerce.

Managing director DSV Solutions Netherlands, Peter van der Maas, comments: “We are expanding due to a strong growth in demand for logistics services in the region, notably fuelled by increased ecommerce activities.”
